ABOUT MY BIRTH DOULA SERVICES
I help clients throughout labor and birth in a variety of ways. I am skilled in comfort measures like massage, counterpressure, help with positioning for ideal pain management, guidance with breathing and releasing tension throughout the body, and verbal encouragement and emotional support through the rollercoaster of feelings you will experience during labor. I have experience as a doula with clients who have chosen to birth in a hospital, birth center, or in their own home with a midwife.
I also help assist you with communicating with your providers so that your goals can be met, providing you education all the medical tools available to you during birth, and helping you process your options as you make decisions, all while putting the safety of you and your baby at top priority!
Other skills I use with clients include:
- Use of visualization and focal points
- Aromatherapy to help reduce nausea during labor
- Helping you set the tone of your labor room to fit your birth goals
- Water therapy for pain relief and relaxation
- Waterbirth
- Hot & cold therapy for pain relief
- TENS unit for pain relief
- Amateur birth photography (taken using the camera or phone you provide)
- Preparing your body for optimum fetal positioning before birth begins
- VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean)
- Navigating medical inductions
- Emergency Cesarean Birth
- Family Centered Cesarean Birth
- Assistance with breastfeeding after the birth of your baby
- Helping you assess your goals and priorities to include on your birth plan
- Spiritual support & prayer if desired
My core belief about birth is that parents deserve to be supported through the choices that they make without judgment from their support team. I believe that with education on their available options, mothers and fathers intuitively know what is best for them and their babies.
(Overnight Postpartum Meal Prep does not involve any cooking, just cutting and prepping ingredients)
ABOUT ME
After having my first two children in 2011 and 2012, I realized that I wanted a different birth and postpartum experience with my third child. I decided to take birth doula and postpartum doula training in 2012 and fell in love with supporting and encouraging new mothers. I received my first certification in 2013 and have helped dozens of families as they begin caring for their new little ones in the years since. I have taken many hours of continuing education in topics like Fetal Positioning for easier births, Lactation, Babywearing, and Postpartum Nutrition. I received my Postpartum & Infant Care Doula certification through ProDoula in 2024. I am so excited to help you and your family prepare to welcome this new little one!

ABOUT ME
I am what you might call a bit of a "birth nerd", so education is one of my favorite things to do for clients! I truly feel passionate about sharing evidence-based information with parents, and love digging into the nuts and bolts of why birth works the way it does. I absolutely LOVE answering questions, explaining the science behind birth, and talking with clients about giving them maximum options during their birth experience. I love sharing ways to keep mamas more comfortable in pregnancy and labor, regardless of whether they plan to birth unmedicated, with an epidural, or with another form of pain relief! These classes are a personal and evidence-informed way to prepare the upcoming arrival of your baby.
I look forward to your upcoming birth class!
