Do One Thing #dotchallenge

Hello, I'm DOT!

Well done on choosing to take on the #dotchallenge to build your ED-Tech skills. I hope to teach you a thing or two along the way by sharing some tips, tricks and bringing things to your attention.

Each week, I will email out a #dotchallenge with something small, something simple for you to try or look into.

Each #dotchallenge will earn you your gold dots which will accumulate across the year.

When you complete a #dotchallenge, email Sabe to gnanam.sabeshan@viss.ae with your evidence and #dotchallenge in the subject line to collect your GOLDEN DOTS.

It's that simple!

Click on the various DOTS down from the list below to find out more on what you can do to complete other #dotchallenge tasks!

If you need a hand with any of the #dotchallenge tasks or just want to talk to someone who will help you, come to 'DOT's Drop in Center' in the innovation room on Wednesdays. Sabe and I will be there to help you from 3:00 - 3:45pm.

I hope to see you there!

Cheers,

DOT

The Story Behind DOT:

The idea for 'DOT' came from a discussion I was having with my fellow 'Apple Distinguished Educators' about how I wanted to help staff at our school use more tech in their classrooms. I didn't want to overwhelm staff, but wanted to offer bite sized pieces of information of little things they can play around with...

All good ideas come from group discussions and brainstorms and a friend, Emma (twitter: @emmafourie) mentioned how she got her staff to 'DO ONE THING - DOT' at her school. Instantly, my mind was full of ideas! I thought of a character to jumpstart this program and before I knew it #dotchallenge was born.

You can follow along with this site and pick up some other tips and tricks, if you have any suggestions for ideas or have any queries get in touch with me via twitter.

If you do any of the challenges, make sure you share it online, tag me on Twitter @MrDigiTechSabe and hashtag it with #dotchallenge.

Let the learning begin!
