2020 and 2021 were of course hugely disruptive for the orchestra, and our activities were put on hold from March 2020. In the summer of 2021 we were finally able to make a tentative return to rehearsals, and in spite of the face masks, social distancing, hand sanitiser and special covers for the woodwind and brass, it was a joy to be playing together again. This autumn we are really looking forward to bringing you a concert of beautiful music, including the fabulous Saint-Saëns Cello Concerto featuring a fantastic soloist, Jenny Janse. We hope to see many of you on 6th November! There will be plenty of space to maintain social distancing in the church to ensure that everyone feels safe.

We are also excited to be welcoming several new players to the orchestra this season in both the woodwind and string section. If you are interested in joining the orchestra, please see the 'New players' section below.
