We are a friendly orchestra of largely amateur musicians based in Dorking, who practise together each Wednesday evening and normally perform three concerts a year in St Martin's Church right in the heart of town.

We look forward to sharing more music with you this summer, and will be bringing you Mozart's beautiful clarinet concerto featuring our own Sue Looseley, alongside works by Mendelssohn and Schubert at the end of June 2022. We look forward to seeing you there!

New Members

We are very happy to welcome two new members to our woodwind section - Julia Philpott as our new 1st oboe, and David Crisp as our new 2nd clarinet.

We are currently recruiting - in particular we are looking for viola and cello players, but do always have spaces for other string and brass players too. If you are interested in joining our friendly orchestra, please email us to arrange a no-pressure taster for a rehearsal or two at enquiries@dorkingphilharmonia.org.uk.
