We are a friendly orchestra of largely amateur musicians based in Dorking, who practise together each Wednesday evening and perform three concerts a year in St Martin's Church right in the heart of the town.
We are looking forward to sharing a beautiful programme in our spring concert in March 2026. This will feature Mozart's iconic 'Paris' Symphony, followed by lyrical works from the early 20th century by French composers Fauré and Debussy, and Saint-Saëns' exhilarating Symphony 2.
This concert will be in a different venue to our usual one - we will be in St Paul's, also in Dorking.
We look forward to seeing you in the audience, or, if you are interested in joining the orchestra, please see the 'New players' section below.

We have welcomed a number of new members in the wind and string sections over the past year. And we are currently recruiting - in particular we are looking for viola and cello players, but do always have spaces for other string and brass players too. If you are interested in joining our friendly orchestra, please email us to arrange a no-pressure taster for a rehearsal or two at enquiries@dorkingphilharmonia.org.uk.
If you play a woodwind instrument and are interested in joining, please still get in touch as we are always on the lookout for talented local players.
