DVR is a program of the Department of Workforce Development and is designed to assist individuals with disabilities to obtain, maintain and improve employment. Services can include guidance and counseling, finding and keeping a job, assistive technology, training and other services, often at no charge.
There are various employment service providers who offer different employment services. Talk to your DVR Counselor or Care Manager to find out which services might be right for you.

Operated by We Are HOPE | The EmployAbility HUB is where we work with our staff and partners to collaborate with everything related to employment! We help with job search, career exploration and skill building needs. Free internet access, assistance in resume/cover letter writing, computer tutorials, workshops, job posting bulletin board/social media/websites, on-site employer recruitment events and Job Fairs. Staff assist with connecting our workforce with employers as well as employment, resources for employment, unemployment, educational and community resources.

The FSET Program operated by Forward Service Corporation; provides job placement services to adults who are receiving FoodShare benefits. The services build or improve employment entry, and retention skills, and foster career development strategies to help maintain self-sufficiency and advance employment goals.
The W-2 Program operated by Forward Service Corporation; offers opportunities to qualified individuals who are parents and have barriers to employment, to build basic life and work skills in a supportive work-readiness and training atmosphere. Based on the development of an individualized employment plan, individuals work intensively with staff to help them meet personal challenges, build skills and move toward employment and self-sufficiency.

Moving Forward program of We Are HOPE, Inc. assists eligible individuals in the justice system in Door and Kewaunee Counties, prepare for re-entry and employment pathways; providing resources, guidance and training opportunities to help them succeed in their return to the community and to continue “moving forward”.

Eligible veterans and qualified spouses may be able to meet with a Veteran’s Employment Representative from the Department of Workforce Development Office of Veteran’s Services for employment assistance including job search tips/advice, cover letter/resume assistance, interview preparation/tips and referrals to other programs/services.
