(DIA)
We raise money to help save endangered animals. Our most recent project is saving the vaquita porpoise. The vaquita is the smallest breed of porpoise and also the rarest. The species were only discovered in 1958. Since then, they were hunted because their dark shapes around their eyes and mouth looked like they were wearing makeup, and the hunting has only recently been put a stop to. Our aim is to raise both awareness and money for them, as there are estimated to be less than 20 individuals left.
We raise money by selling handmade products on eBay. We try to keep our products environmentally friendly as we don't want to hurt one species whilst trying to help another. In all our adverts, we try to include that if people do not want to buy off of us, there is still a way for them to help. This is raising awareness. They could help by telling more people about the vaquita, and then the message would be passed on to more and more people.
The participants in DIA are all volunteers, and we do not get paid. We do it simply to help, and we all love animals. Our name - Don't Ignore Animals - was chosen because sometimes we feel that animals going into extinction are being ignored instead of saved. People assume that there is nothing that they can do about it and so continue their everyday lives without a second thought. We wanted to change this, so we came up with this charity, and an easy way for people to help.
You can get personalised name stickers, word cloud stickers, animal stickers and much more.
We have been selling these in a variety of different colours.
These lip balms are cute, small, and very easy to carry around. We try to keep our lip balms made of natural, organic ingredients.
