Why should I get involved?
To save the vaquita porpoise, we need all the help that we can get. It has been estimated that there are less than 20 vaquitas left in the world. If we do manage to to save the vaquita, we will not be able to have done it alone. This is why we need your help. You can help prevent their extinction.
Raising awareness
One way that you can help is by spreading awareness. Most people don't know that there even is an animal called the vaquita. If people don't know about it, then there is not much they can do to help.
Plastic in the sea
Another way that you can help is by slightly changing your lifestyle. You could find some alternatives to using plastic, or you could try to recycle more often. Plastic is a huge problem for animals, especially animals living in the sea. They get caught in plastic or think that it is food and then swallow it, and doing either of these things is fatal for them. You can stop your contribution to the plastic ending up in the ocean.
