"The cosmos is within us. We are made of starstuff. We are a way for the universe to know itself." - Carl Sagan
I designed this calendar to explain the night sky to my kids.
Every morning I adjust it to the correct date. Eclipses and other events are also indicated.
Rocketry
Falcon9 from spacex online shop
AMRAAM from RocketStore Meyerton
I never had a chance to launch my rockets while living in Boksburg. Now that I live just a few minutes drive from the Meyerton rocket club, I'm hoping to start launching and building a lot more often.
This is a very early concept for a 3D printed electro-turbopump model rocket
I compiled this poster from various sources, and have begun 3D printing a 1:500 scale model set.
I would like to make a 3D version of the poster. The engines and smaller rockets will be printed in resin. I already had the 1:500 scale Airbus A380, which was why I chose this scale. I would also like to build the spacex oilrig platforms, once designs are released.

my solar system
Moon lamp and inflatable Earth to scale.
Meteorite specimen from Argentina
I once put together a model solar system at 1:140 million scale. I calculated the diameter and orbital distances of hundreds of bodies including planets, moons, dwarf planets and even some objects from neighboring star systems.
I chose this scale because a lot of dimensions work out close enough to simple numbers. For example, the sun is a 10m sphere 1km away from earth. Jupiter is a 1m beach ball, while Uranus and Neptune are as big as basketballs.
I made over 50 physical models from clay and polystyrene. I would like to restart this idea with 3D printing.
The plan was to make the 4 gas giants inflatable. A small section of the suns 5m radius would be painted on a wall.
