I have worked for MAN Energy Solutions since September 2011.

I am in the quality department, under the Blades division.

I began as a QC inspector doing in-process inspection. Since 2018 I have been the CMM programmer.

A coordinate measuring machine, also known as a CMM, is a piece of equipment that measures the geometries of physical objects.

I write programs for every type of component that we manufacture. CMM's are fast, automated, and incredibly accurate.

CMM programming is just one of the many tasks that I am involved in.

Here are some examples of my other responsibilities, and equipment that I use:

Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Nürnberg

Established in 1758, MAN Energy Solutions is the world's leading provider of large-bore diesel engines and turbo machinery for marine and stationary applications.

We design two-stroke and four-stroke engines, gas and steam turbines, as well as compressors.

The history of the South African turbo division goes back to April 2001, the diesel division was founded in March 2009.

A merger of these divisions took place in May 2010 and sales in that fiscal year exceeded 230 million.
