I think that if you'd like to understand who I am, what I believe in, and where I do my best work, the best place to start is my experiences, or as i like to call them, Stories! Each story captures a moment, no matter how small, of learning, collaboration, and growth that has shaped the person I am today.
FMIPA ITB Dean's List 2025/2026 Aug '26
The fourth semester officially ended my perfect GPA streak :)
I've still managed to keep my straight A's in my mathematics coursework (which, I've been told, is what matters). The second semester was pretty rough for everyone, but I am fortunate to have the best academic performance in my cohort again this year.
Academic Intern @ Gradient Jun '26 - Present
After delivering satisfactory results as a Mathematics Tutor and Subject Matter Writer at Gradient Academy, I was offered the opportunity to join as an Academic Intern for the mid-year break in Depok. I worked at the intersection of education and AI (something I've dabbled in on for a while!) by improving and quality checking gradient-ai agents for academic content development (say, digitally transcribing exam figures for the CMS).
First Honorable Mention ONMIPA-PT: Mathematics Jun '26
ONMIPA-PT 2026 at Universitas Airlangga was such a memorable experience for me! I competed among some of Indonesia's strongest undergraduate mathematics students, all dedicated to rigorous problem solving. I was one short from a Bronze medal which would've been nice, but I can't complain when I was awarded something in my first ever olympiad. Oh, and ITB took back the trophy this year!
Gold Medal and Semifinalist MaGD XVII May '26
Mathematical Analysis and Geometry Day (MaG-D) XVII is a national undergraduate competition hosted by the Analysis and Geometry Research Group of ITB. I earned a Gold Medal in the individual category by placing among the Top 15 participants. Anata and I advanced to the semifinals and finished in the Top 10 of approximately 144 teams. See you next year MaGD, after I've actually taken analysis and geometry courses!
Staff of Academics @ HIMATIKA Apr '26
Staff Member of the Academics Division at HIMATIKA ITB, where I supported mathematics and actuarial (mostly mathematics) students' academic development. I organized problem archive, as well as managing tutoring programs for certain courses, I also tutored here and there!
Assistant Facilitator for Lead Self Program 2026 Jan '26 - Present
I was the only assistant facilitator representing ITB this cohort! I mentored and assessed participants in Group 3 throughout the program while applying coaching techniques learned through facilitator training to support their self-reflection and personal growth. I took on this role as I wanted to work on my social intelligence and people skills, and it had helped! Plus it was my way of giving back after what I've learnt through Lead Self.
Secretary and Treasurer for Social Project Forum Dec '25
As Secretary and Treasurer for the Social Project Forum, an initiative by the Tanoto Scholars Association ITB to foster collaboration among ITB student organizations on environmental and sustainability issues, I managed administrative documentation, financial matters, and meeting logistics while also serving as a discussion moderator during the forum sessions.
1st Place KM2N Dec '25
A national duo-based calculus competition organized as part of Gema Mahasiswa Matematika (GMM) by Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. It was a fun little challenge to do this with my partner Imran. He carried us through the semifinals, while I entered flow state during the finals!
Research and Development Staff @ MATHCO ITB Nov '25 - May '26
Developed of learning resources for ITB's mathematics courses, including Calculus I & II and Elementary Linear Algebra problem books, detailed solution manuals, and guided problem walkthrough videos. I mostly handled quality control of previous versions of books, and I recorded a few walkthroughs as well!
Staff of ITB Mathematics Olympiad Oct '25 - May '26
Helped shape the academic side of the competition by proposing Algebra and Combinatorics problems and assisting with competition monitoring. I also wrote a Bahas Soal (problem breakdown) for social media content! It was an interesting POV to experience mathematics from the perspective of a problem setter.
Computational Thinking Practicum Assistant Oct - Nov '25
Facilitate and assess four online Python practicum sessions for the WI1102 course I guided around 60 first-year students through 4 fundamental modules covering conditionals, loops, and recursion. Alongside a co-assistant from the Informatics Department, I graded these students' works and provided constructive feedback.
Research and Development for Green Action Generation Oct '25
A Tanoto Scholars project by ITB! I researched sustainable energy topics and developed educational materials designed for elementary school students. The content I created was later adapted by the publication team into a children's educational book. It was really fun day, especially the two hands-ons where we painted tote bags and assembled a solar-powered car. Check out the publication I made for this initiative!
3rd Place IMC 2025: Study Case Oct '25
A national team-based competition and training in applied mathematics hosted by GUMATIKA Institut Pertanian Bogor. The training sessions discussed basic data analysis and linear programming. The theme was around sustainable cities, so my team and I (lead by Habsy) tackled a problem through an operations research perspective. We got to present our work alongside 4 other finalists, and we got third place!
Research and Development for Signature Project Aug '25
I helped turn old buckets into functional planting systems (Organic Tower Gardens). A neat little project which reinforced my values of combining research with community-oriented action.
Most Outstanding First Year Student of FMIPA 2024 Aug '25
Absolute best academic performance among 400+ ITB's Mathematics and Natural Science (FMIPA) students during the first year! Very honored to be awarded this, as it affirmed my beliefs in the value of mere curiosity and consistency in learning. Perhaps this post I did with Gradient Academy can share a little more about my journey!
Tutor and Subject Matter Writer for Gradient Jul '25
Reached out as one of the first live-class tutors for Gradient Academy. I taught mathematics for ITB's pretest (algebra and pre-calculus mostly) with overall positive feedback. I also contributed to their problem bank via problem transcription and solution writing.
Best Creative Media Staff @ TSA ITB 2025 Jul '25
Spent my first period in Tanoto Scholar's Assocation as staff of creative media. My job desk was around copywriting and designing visual content (you can see some of them linked throughout this Stories page). I was consistent enough to be awarded Best Staff!
Best Materials and Methods Staff @ SCIENTIA 2025 Jun '25 - Aug '25
Student-led orientation for ITB's Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA). Curated materials for new students, assessed their work, and designed games for Scientia ’25. I worked particularly hard for this, especially in meetings and idea development!
Materials and Methods Division for Micro Project 2025 Feb '25
Researched the environmental impact of used cooking oil and how to repurpose them for soap! We presented these findings as educational material for participants, helping raise awareness about sustainable waste management. Here's content I wrote about this project!
Tanoto Scholar '25 Jan '25
Awardee of the TELADAN Scholarship and Leadership Program. A highly competitive selection process with an acceptance rate of around 2%, the program recognizes students with strong academic achievement, leadership potential, and a commitment to creating positive social impact. The financial support is nice, but the most value this program has brought me is connecting me with an inspiring community and provided opportunities to grow through leadership development, mentorship, and community engagement.
Student Volunteer for IASFM 2025 Jan '25
Hosted by Universitas Gadjah Mada, I supported an international conference that brought together academics, and people with lived experience to discuss issues surrounding forced displacement and migration. I was a translator and Podcast Staff in the International Association for the Study of Forced Migration Conference 2025. Interviewed international panelists and attendees. Shown on the left is one of my live translation: a panel by Semut Merah Kaizen about the role of literary works in displacement issues.
Teaching Volunteer for SAMAVAYA
Dec '24
I was a Teaching Volunteer for SAMAVAYA 2024, FMIPA ITB's community service initiative organized by the 2024 cohort. I helped deliver learning activities for local students as part of the program's commitment to making science and mathematics education more accessible. I wrote a little about this on my Twitter.
