Talentpalooza: Calling all stage moms! Help Ms. Stephenson with set up, managing kids during the show, music playing, lighting, and clean up.

This committee is responsible for helping organize, plan and promote our parent’s night out! Needs include help with decor, catering, vendor procurement, and raffle items.

There are a lot of opportunities to help with our week-long book fair. Sign up to learn more about planning, setting up or working the event throughout the week. Classes will visit the book fair during the school day with a chance for students, parents, grandparents, and friends to shop together on family night!

This team organizes and promotes several different community service events, drives and projects throughout the year to reach and service the needs of families and teachers within Dommerich.

DES FEST: Jan White
This committee plans, organizes, and executes Dommerich’s annual community festival. They secure vendors for tables, food, tents and games, coordinate booth volunteers and promote the event to school and the community.

This committee plans, coordinates, and promotes our annual fall fundraiser. Each year we put on a choose-your-own-adventure style fundraiser where families, classes, or groups of friends come up with creative ways to raise money. The fall fundraiser committee gets to facilitate the celebration of each class as they reach certain goals. This fundraiser funds our annual PTA budget as well as school improvement projects.

This committee helps to plan and execute our school wide field day. The committee works with our PE Coaches to coordinate details as well as order needed supplies and recruit volunteers for the day of the event. This event is during the school day.

Our DES gear is sold at various school and PTA events. This committee helps with organizing and staffing the events and also helps to fulfill online merchandise orders weekly.

This committee will help plan a multicultural night to be held in the evening in the Dommerich Cafeteria. The goal of this event is for families to learn about other countries and cultures from around the world through food, crafts, music, language, art, etc. Families and Staff will help run tables.

This committee helps to plan and coordinate our monthly spirit nights at local restaurants and businesses. Spirit nights are open to all Dommerich families and help raise money for the school through purchases. This committee also helps to establish new relationships with local businesses.

This committee oversees our DES running club, Running Tribe. Open to any student that wants to participate, in partnership with the PE coaches, volunteers help check kids in, clock laps, and provide general oversight for the kids that come to run before school.
Event Dates: Tuesday and Thursday mornings throughout the school year from 7:45-8:15 a.m.
Skate Night: Alissa Cronin
This committee oversees our monthly skate night events at Semoran Skateway. These are family friendly events that happen from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. This team helps welcome our families at the door and are in communication with the team at Semoran Skateway.
Event Dates: The first Thursday of the month during the school year.
Staff Appreciation: Melanie Maharam
This committee plans, prepares and serves monthly meals to DES faculty and staff. They also help plan Teacher Appreciation Week at the end of May. Volunteers also provide and write monthly Birthday cards to staff members.
Event Dates: Opportunities to serve at various times and dates throughout the year including monthly luncheons and administrative tasks.
Walk N' Roll: Katie Edmonson
This committee is responsible for helping organize, plan and promote our monthly Walk N’ Roll program at Dommerich Elementary. Walk N’ Roll is designed to help ease traffic and congestion, air pollution, save money on gas and promote physical activity for students and parents as a daily habit by encouraging students and parents to walk or ride scooters or bikes to school.
Event Dates: Every 1st Wednesday of the month from 8:10-8:45 a.m.
Wings and Warriors 5K: Allison Loft & Jennie Mealor
This committee plans, coordinates, and executes our annual 5K and 1 mile run that takes place in the Dommerich neighborhood. They help promote the event as well as run the event the day of.
