What is the Birthday Book Club? 

Birthday Book Club members have the honor of choosing a new book from a special selection in our school library and presenting it on the WDES Morning News!  Afterward, members bring the book home to enjoy for up to two weeks, with a personalized bookplate attached inside, and parents receive a shareable video link via email of the adorable, child-produced news program.

Annual membership costs only $10.00, but higher donations are welcome. (The average cost of a new library book is significantly more than $10.)  When completing the book club registration, parents are given the option to sign up their child as a student member of our PTA at no additional cost.

Early registration is encouraged, as our Birthday Book Club is very popular at Dommerich!  For this and other reasons, it is not always possible to record the news program on a child’s exact birthday, but care is taken to make sure that this happens as close to the date as possible.  If you have any questions please reach out to PTA volunteer Amanda Burke at garrettnamanda@gmail.com
