A big problem is that you can’t see the spreading of germs from person to person.  What my project is about is to make an easy way to check if you have germs on your hands. This will be done by making a box that dispenses a product called Glo Germ. Glo Germ is a powder that is used to simulate germs. My Project will dispense Glo Germ and will also activate it with a blacklight which will be turned on once the user’s hands are placed inside the box. As of now you can’t tell how well you washed your hands. But with my project it will make it quick and easy.

The procedures for testing will be if you can easily see how well the Glo Germ works. This will be measured by if the camera takes a picture of the user’s hand when they put it in.

The Glo Germ shows up very well under the camera. That is thanks to the blacklight. When the user put their hands in, the camera picked up the Glo Germ

This project will benefit society in a big way. It will be able to show whether or not you washed your hands which can reduce the spread of germs drastically. This could also be very effective in hospitals and surgery rooms to make sure that the people working with patients aren’t carrying bacteria.
