Rates update throughout the day. The rate shown in SendMoneyHome is fetched at the moment you tap "Compare Rates." By the time you reach the provider's website, the rate may have changed by a small amount. Always confirm the final rate on the provider's website before completing your transfer.
If the difference is large, please email us the details and we will investigate.
This usually means a connection issue. Try:
β Β Β Β Check that your phone has an internet connection (WiFi or cellular).
β Β Β Β Close the app fully and reopen it.
β Β Β Β If the problem persists for more than a few minutes, our rate server may be temporarily unavailable. Try again in 5 minutes.
If the issue continues, email us at dollartorupee066@gmail.com with your phone model and iOS version.
The button opens the provider's website in your default browser. Make sure you have a browser installed and that Safari is enabled for opening links. On iOS: Settings β Safari β make sure it is set as your default browser, or allow links to open in Safari.
Not always β it depends on the amount and the day. However, ICICI updates their rate once per day while providers like Remitly update more frequently. On most days and for most amounts above $500, Remitly offers a better rate. SendMoneyHome shows you the live comparison so you always know.

As a regular Money2India user, Bish noticed he had no easy way to know if he was getting a competitive exchange rate. SendMoneyHome was built to solve that β for himself and for the millions of people sending money home to family abroad every month.
