SendMoneyHome is a free app that compares live money transfer rates across the top providers — Remitly, Wise, Xoom, Western Union, WorldRemit, Ria Money, MoneyGram, Instarem, OFX, XE, and Money2India (ICICI) — for transfers from the US to India, Mexico, Philippines, China, Guatemala, and more. In seconds, you can see who gets your family the most money.
Yes. SendMoneyHome does not handle your money in any way. We are a comparison tool only — like a flight search site for money transfers. Here is exactly what happens when you use the app:
● You choose a destination country and enter the amount you want to send.
● We fetch live rates from each provider and show you the ranking.
● You tap "Send with [Provider]" — this opens the provider's official website in your browser.
● You complete the transfer directly on the provider's website. We never see your bank details, account number, or personal information.
We do not create accounts, store passwords, or transmit any financial data.
No. Never. SendMoneyHome is purely an information app. We show you rates — you do the actual transfer on the provider's own website or app.
We are transparent about this. If you click "Send with [Provider]" and sign up as a new customer with that provider, we may receive a small referral commission from them. This is called an affiliate commission.
● The commission comes from the provider — not from you.
● You pay the exact same rate whether you came from SendMoneyHome or went directly to the provider.
● We never inflate rates or hide fees to earn more commission. Our ranking is always based purely on what you actually receive.
If you are already a customer of one of these providers, clicking our link earns us nothing — and that's fine. The app is still useful to you for comparing rates every time you transfer.
Remitly and Money2India (ICICI) rates are fetched live at the time you compare, when available. Other providers are estimated from the live mid-market rate using each provider's known spread and fee. Rates change throughout the day — always confirm the final rate on the provider's website before completing your transfer.
It depends on the amount, the destination country, and the time of day. The app calculates this automatically for every comparison and labels the winner "BEST RATE" — you don't need to do the math yourself.
SendMoneyHome currently supports transfers from the US to India, Mexico, Philippines, China, Guatemala, and more. We are actively adding more destination countries. Reverse-direction transfers (into the US) are not currently supported.
No. SendMoneyHome requires no login, no email address, and no account. Open the app, enter an amount, see the rates. That is it.
Your Profile details (name, address, routing and account number) are saved only on your device and are never sent anywhere — you keep them there just to make copying them onto a provider's site faster. Location is used only to auto-fill your address and is not stored on our servers. Voice input is transcribed by a third-party service (Groq) to convert your speech to text. Anonymous usage analytics help us understand which features are used. See our Privacy Policy below for full details on each of these.
