The aim of this activity is to explore important topics connected to Senator Robert J. Dole’s time in the United States Senate (1969-1996) through objects. Designed for middle school and high school students, this exhibit activity dives into the important issues that Senator Dole dealt with during his Senate career including disability and social security legislation, holding the ranked position of Leader of the Republican Party for 11 years and running for president 3 times (1980, 1988, 1996).
