Object Based Learning with Representative Robert J. Dole's House Desk

The aim of this exhibit is to explore important topics connected to Representative Robert J. Dole’s time in the United States House of Representatives (1961-1969) through an object collection. Designed for middle school and high school students, this exhibit activity dives into the important issues that Representative Dole dealt with during the 1960’s including civil rights, hunger in America as well as examining what it meant to be a Republican during this time.
