Back at her manor, Mahlanda told the story of how she and Obadias were once friends. And at one time, more than friends. That Obadias had found some source of power and had ambushed them all in Tyr. She then tasked the group with returning to Tyr and stopping Obadias from gaining this power.

The group made their way along the road to Tyr, avoiding patrols and other dangers. The patrols were numerous but through a combination of skill and luck they managed to reach the city, mostly in one piece.

Sneaking back into Tyr proved a much harder nut to crack. Considering sneaking over the wall and other options, they finally decided on bribing, and using their influence to sneak in with a merchant caravan. Upon entering they found refuge in a safe house while they began their investigation.

Their investigation led them to contacts that all pointed to The True having entered the Ziggurat. They learned that The True had found an entrance near the base not long before they arrived. Not wanting to waste anytime they found the entrance that night and made their way inside. The wards having already been broken by those who came before them.

Making their way through the dark labyrinthine tunnels they came upon a room with the stench of death. Bodies of The True lay strewn about. Upon entering some of those bodies came to life and attacked them. The grasping hands of the dead attempted to hold them in place while ravenous zombies assaulted them.
They were no match for the group and Safi's summoned animals though, and were quickly dispatched.
