If it was a very profound research project that taken to a national conference then that would be different. For simple published works do STAT Pearls.Volunteering: No, as a TRI you will not really have the time to volunteerAdvice: First off, keep it together. This is not the end. Now if you have exhausted all your options and your school is no longer helping its time to look for something meaningful to do while you are in limbo. 1) Research Internship 2) Paramedic or nursing work (clinical exp is clinical exp) 3) Scribe or med tech (Clinical exp and networking) 4) Keep hounding the FREIDA and other sites (residents will fall out and it gives you an opportunity to get in) 5) Shadow a physician 6) look for smaller less prestigious programs (beggars can not be choosers) 7) If things are looking grim and you may not be the strongest candidate (Master's Program in a Medical Field, MPH, M Health Admin, .... + gives research, if you find a residency in that year, then put masters on hold, if not you are still involved in something)
In this time of limbo, search out your weaknesses and correct them. Show progress and show your leadership skills and that you are still involved and committed.
