Leadership Team
Each member of the leadership team plays an important role in helping achieve the vision and mission of the NZE Coalition. Leadership Team members are actively involved in the Coalition and strive to embody the principles and values of the Coalition. The leadership team consists of ten elected positions: two Co-coordinators, a Secretary, a committee liaison from each of the six committees, and a partnership liaison. Co-coordinators
Set and distribute agendas for leadership team meetings
Facilitate leadership team meetings
Facilitate the decision making process, helping build consensus and address objections and concerns
Ensure that the Leadership Team and Coalition broadly is following principles, mission and vision to bring more Net-Zero Energy buildings to the National Capital region
Support committee work
Conduct regular one-on-ones with Co-chairs
Facilitate and coordinate communication among committees as needed
Secretary
Captures comprehensive and accurate meeting minutes and follow-up items for Leadership Team meetings,
Schedules Leadership Team meetings,
Provides technology support for meetings (e.g. conference calls, virtual meeting room),
Organization of Coalition documents,
Assists and orients committees co-chairs and new leaders with access and management of documents and files
Committee Liaisons
Each committee has two co-chairs. One elected co-chair from each committee will serve as that committee's liaison on the Leadership Team.
Advocate on behalf of their committee, faithfully and accurately representing committee work, recommendations, needs, and suggestions to the Leadership Team
Accurately and timely report feedback, suggestions, and advice from the Leadership Team to their respective committee
Identify and celebrate the work of their respective committee members to the Leadership Team and broader Coalition
Partnership Liaison
Serve as the primary liaison for organizations, people, companies, etc. that the Coalition partners and works with
When partnering with an outside organization, ensure there is no conflict of interest that jeopardizes the mission, vision, or principles of the Coalition
In coordination with the Leadership Team, reach out and seek new partnerships that advance mission, vision, or principles of the Coalition
