Dear Learners,

We are excited to welcome you on this journey of demystifying the world of networking. In this warm up session we introduce you to the course.

This course is a four week course where we will be covering two topics from computer networking each week. The elements of this course are derived from the LCM Model of MOOC's. In this course we take an alternate approach to introduce you to different basic concepts of networking using daily life scenarios and stories. These will be presented as animations and articles where you have to solve some challenges. Then we will connect those scenarios or what we call analogies and the stories to concepts of networking. This will be followed by a standard Learning Dialog (LeD) about the topic and and then another LeD or a video demonstrating the application of the concepts on Cisco Packet Tracer (a network simulator).

Every week will open with a discussion about the challenge posed with the analogies posted in the previous week. The course layout is as follows
