Sagar Jhariya is currently working as a senior research fellow in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences under the supervision of Dr Sarbani Banerjee at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. His areas of interest primarily include visual narratives, tribal literature, and graphic artworks. He has interviewed various tribal visual artists and is currently collaborating with them to explore the interdisciplinary nature of the Gond art. He is also a member of the Oral History Association of India. He teaches partition literature and soft skills to engineering students in the capacity of a teaching assistant. He is also a teaching assistant for two NPTEL courses: Refugee, Migration, Diaspora and Tribal Studies in India: Interdisciplinary Perspective and Approaches. He has presented his papers at various national and international conferences.
