Area Service Awards

There are three ways for DKG areas to recognize outstanding leaders in their areas:

• Outstanding Service to Area - The nominee must have served in a leadership role at the Area level in two or more capacities.

• Outstanding Career/Professional Service - The nominee must be an area leader who has developed an educational program or participated in an activity which has an impact on the teaching profession.

• Outstanding Public Service - The nominee may be a man or woman and does not have to be a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. He or she must have made, or be making, an outstanding contribution in public service, whether as a professional or volunteer in business, industry, government, social services, fine arts or education.
