Member Recognition

Congratulations to Marilyn Bishop, Texas State Organization 2026 Golden Rose Recipient. Marilyn has been a member of

 Theta Alpha for forty seven years. She has served as president 

of the chapter as well as led or been a member of many chapter committees. She has served on state committees as well a chaired the Personnel Committee. Marilyn has been a treasurer of the chapter over 15 years and now serves as a mentor to the current treasurer and to all of us who need and rely on her expertise, experience, and DKG knowledge. She became a Golden Rose in DKG in 2026, but she has always been our Golden Rose. 

Doctor Kendall Hutchinson joined Theta Alpha in 2004 and was recently  awarded her doctoral cords at the DKG International Convention. The success of a chapter like Theta Alpha depends on the dedication of members like Kendall who in spite of a numerous commitments generously shares her time reaching out to potential members, introducing them to DKG, inviting them to meetings, and supporting them as members. We are so proud of her accomplishments and love of DKG.   

Congratulations to Patti Belknap who was elected to serve as the Southwest Regional Chair for 2026-2028. Patti has served in numerous roles at the Interntional level, the most recent being International Membership Chair. In TSO she has served as President, First Vice President and Second Vice President. She has chaired and served on many committees at both the chapter and state levels. Because of her experiences Theta Alpha is kept very well informed of all things DKG. We are fortunate to have her in our chapter.
