Besides numerous opportunities to receive financial support for continued education and classroom materials, membership in DKG also provides opportunities for members to develop leadership skills, receive collegial support, and attend content specific sessions provided in chapter programs workshops, conferences, and conventions.
Theta Alpha Meetings
Theta Alpha Chatper members meet monthly beginning in September, ususally on the third Saturday of the month. The meeting date may change depending on holidays and school district breaks. During the meeting various business topics are covered followed by a program either presented by a member or a guest speaker. Topics for the programs are determined by surveys held in the spring. Meetings also serve as the time for the chapter to fulfill a chapter project. Meetings also include activities that foster socialization and encourage fun. Food is served or the members enjoy visiting a local restaurant.
