On the 20 of May we had the session about Cooperative and Collaborative Work where the first was spoken about the objectives of the lesson:
-what is the purpose and benefits of project and cooperative activities
-explore different ways to develop cooperative activities
-exchange ideas for project work and cooperative activities
-adapt and differentiate cooperative activities.
Then we played the game Magic Box where we wrote our favourite activity on the paper and put it into the box in order to say the information from the video which was watched by us.Then we shared with notes which were written from the video.F.ex. how can we divide into groups(by colors,by numbers,by shapes),divide roles for every member (encourager, timekeeper, manager, secretary, reporter) and various ways to involve students(by sounds of the bell, clapper, musical instrument,...).
Next video was about developing project activities in the classroom and we learnt Play Analysis Questions which means
P-purpose of the game
L-language skills
A-advance students learning
Y-yield any information about understanding of learners.
Then we learnt strategies which help us to develop project works .F.ex. First to Five strategy helps to teacher to check quickly the students comprehension,Scaffolding -students can continue speaking in a target language with the help of a teacher with WH- questions as a dialogue.
The last work was showing our Microteaching which was very interesting with different learnt activities and after each group presentation our CTs gave their PQPs.
On Saturday on my lesson I divided the students into groups by colors and named them as a leader, writer, designer, time keeper, presenter. And in assesment I used First to Five strategy where I easily could evoluate the students comprehension.
