Create Instructional Video Using Open Broadcaster Studio (OBS)

I think OBS Studio is really cool. If you are looking for a FREE tool to record your instructional video, OBS Studio is one of a good choice. At first glance, it may look quite intimidating for newbies. OBS is designed for live streamers (especially online gamers) but we can also use OBS to record the screen. You can create a simple screen recording using a webcam and record the screen or the PowerPoint. This can also be done simply using applications such as Screencast-O-Matic, Loom, Screencastify or the recording feature in Zoom, Webex or Microsoft Team. What set OBS apart from other applications is the ability to create scenes and the flexibility to add many elements as well as fancy features.

Watch the three videos below to learn the basics of OBS. This could be your application of choice to create an instructional video.

The following two applications, Biteable and Lumen 5 are designed to create content in the form of video montage. The applications are very easy to use because they have many nice templates that users can customise.
