The District 69 PTO, officially established as a not-for-profit PTA in 1978, is organized to support quality programs and events in our district's schools. These efforts typically reach beyond the regular classroom experience and act as a supplement to the curriculum at each grade level. We also try to foster open communication between parents, teachers, and administrators. One PTO unit links all three schools in our district: Madison, Edison, and Lincoln Junior High. Additionally, the PTO links our community of parents, teachers and administrators together in a common goal: to benefit the health, welfare, safety or education of students in District 69.
At our monthly meetings we plan events, fund requests from the school, and much more.
The District 69 PTO maintains 501(c)3 status with the IRS.
