2022 Educator Workshop Series Flyer.pub.pdf

Trailblazing Tennesseans

During the 2022-2023 school year, the Tennessee State Library & Archives invites Tennessee teachers to attend a workshop exploring Tennesseans who have had an impact on our state's history. From September 2022- June 2023, we'll travel the state offering this workshop series to educators at locations statewide.

Focusing on the use of primary sources found in the collection of the Library & Archives, this workshop will examine Tennessee history topics from the 4th, 5th, 8th, and High School American History curriculum standards for social studies. The workshop will conclude with teacher participants working together to create a primary source activity for use in the classroom.

Teacher participants will receive lunch and six hours of professional development credit.

This workshop series is funded in part by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC), a division of the National Archives. Learn more about NHPRC at https://www.archives.gov/nhprc.
