I grew so much from this experience. I gained so many friends and mentors and even other employment from this job. I was an RA for the majority of my college career. It taught me to be patient with freshmen like my RA was with me when I had questions. I learned to help others handle conflict. I grew more confident in my knowledge of campus and the community. I learned crisis management.

In my first year, I was awarded the new RA of the year award for my work within housing. The next two years I was able to gain mentorship experience helping the new RAs learn the role.
