Enrollment at DingXi Elementary is easy, but differs according to each student's circumstances. This page lists general information regarding enrollment requirements, how to enroll, and pre-school.
DingXi Elementary has three different schools on its campus; an early-childcare center, a kindergarten, and an elementary school. The information listed below relates to the elementary school. For more information about services for younger children, please contact the school by phone.
Enrollment requirements for DingXi Elementary:
Students are generally aged 7-12 years old; classes are available in grades one to six.
Some students older than 12 may be able to enroll given special circumstances (e.g. if coming from abroad).
Location of residence is sometimes a factor in if a student can enroll. For parents who are uncertain about this, it is reccomended to call the school so that more specific information can be given.
How to enroll a student at DingXi Elementary:
Students are allowed to enroll at any time during the school year, but it is better for students to begin at the start of a semester.
There is no lottery system for DingXi Elementary. An annual enrollment period takes place every year. Please contact the school for additional information.

Additional information:
DingXi Elementary School is a public school and does not charge tuition. Families may pay small fees for textbooks, workbooks, student insurance, and other school-related expenses. The exact amount varies by grade, but regular fees are generally around NT$1,000–2,000 per semester. Optional activities and after-school programs cost extra.
Beginning in the 2026–27 school year, school lunch is provided free of charge to students in New Taipei City.
Pre-school and daycare:
Admission to both the early childhood care center and kindergarten at DingXi Elementary are competitive.
Enrollment is determined via a lottery system.
The childcare center provides care for children under 2 years old, while the kindergarten accepts children from age 3 until they enter elementary school.
