Do you teach students at their homes too?
A: Yes! Just let me know if you want me to teach at your student's home!
Do you do lesson makeups?
A: Yes! I allow lesson makeups if needed, even at the last minute! If a student misses their lesson day regardless of reason, it is up to the parents to find a day to reschedule or skip for the week.
Do you offer any recitals?
A: No, I do not offer any recitals, at least from my studio. I do have other recitals and or competitions to refer to, but I do not do that to every student. If I have a certain number of students who either wanted to perform on stage, or are encouraged by their parents to go on stage, then I will offer and or refer recitals and or competitions for them to enroll.
What kind of curriculum do you do?
A: I offer various curriculum depending on what the student likes or what their parents expect them to do. Some students I teach like to do classical music, which was my primary expert subject. Others like to do pop music like those by Disney or Taylor Swift. Others want to focus on generic exercises by top publishing companies like Alfred or Faber. Others also want to work on technical stuff like Scales, Fingerpower, Hanon, etc., and also others want to work on their theory aspects. Let me know which curriculum you or your student likes to do by filling out the survey in the Lesson Registration tab.
Help! My student is struggling with practicing their exercises! What do I do?
A: This is a very common question many piano teachers like me get asked about. Please tell me more about what is your student struggling with? Are they struggling to make the time? Or are they struggling to go through the exercise in general? If they are struggling to make the time, try to fix up your schedule and let them practice 15 TO 30 MINUTES each day. A little practice goes a long way! If they are struggling with the exercise in general, please tell me about the problematic exercises in great detail along with the attached photos or videos of the exercise they are doing. I will in response offer a more detailed answer as well as attached reference photos and if necessary, offer a video recording of me playing the exercise, or parts of it, to help resolve this.
You taught a great lesson so far! How do I pay you?
A: My lesson payments are mostly and mainly handled through Zelle. If you would like to pay me after a lesson, please log in to your Zelle account, click on "Send Money", type my phone number listed at the footer of this webpage as the person you're sending money to, set the amount of money you would like to pay, and then hit "send". Keep in mind you only have one week left to send me after each lesson taught.
I am having a busy week and cannot pay you weekly. Should I pay you monthly?
A: Monthly payments are fine too. Just please let me know about this!
