Mr. Albert Ding has been taking piano lessons since he was ten years old. He started out at Cary School of Music under Mr. John Hermann. There, he received several Superior ratings for his performances at their Piano Festivals. In addition, he placed 1st at the 2010 Young Artist Auditions held at William Peace University. During his time at high school, Mr. Albert studied further under Florence Ko. After graduating from high school, Mr. Albert went to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he not only studied under Drs. John Salmon and Joseph DiPiazza, but also graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music in 2019. His prior experiences with his former instructors enabled Mr. Albert to develop a variety of ideas, methods, procedures, personalities, and strategies on how to get his students motivated, engaged and satisfied with their lesson experiences, which is something that can make Mr. Albert any prouder than he enjoys before thanks to his detail-oriented, caring, imaginative, open-minded, patient and also strict attitude.
Mr. Albert first started teaching in late 2021 when a family friend of his arranged to have him teach piano lessons for her 16-year old son. Ever since, Mr. Albert's teaching path started emerging, and all the other students residing in the local neighborhoods began taking interest in having Mr. Albert teach them.
In 2024, Mr. Albert went back to performing by participating in the Charleston International Music Competition, where he currently placed 3rd in all of his piano competitions. As of 2026, Mr. Albert plans to enter another CIMC competition again, but has yet to decide which one he can enter.
Mr. Albert is currently a member of the Cary-Apex Piano Teachers Association, and is also a member of the National Music Teachers Association as of 2026.
