Digital Imagery Apps

This section outlines some apps that I have used when editing images and have found to be very effective. The resulting creations can then be shared with various editing apps to add to digital stories.

Snapseed by Google: iOS and Android Users (Free)

This is a fantastic free photoshop app that allows the user a great deal of freedom in editing images. The range of editing features can be seen in the image below. Internal tools of particular note are the 'heal' function to erase any unwanted content on the image and the 'text' function to annotate your image.

Plotaverse Photo Animator: iOS and Android Users (Paid For Resource)

This app (previously called 'Plotagraph') allows the user to mask certain areas in a photo, as seen on the first image below, and animate the remaining background using directional arrows. It brings photos to life and can create really interesting visuals that can be saved as video files and exported for use in editing apps to add a real touch of magic to any digital story.

Adobe Photoshop Express Editor: iOS and Android Users (Free)

This is a nice straightforward cross-platform photoshop style app that allows the user to edit their images using a variety of in-built tools. These include filters, frames, auto correct, red eye, Add text in a variety of styles, erasing tool, etc.
