About the Conference

In recent years digital epidemiology has grown rapidly due to the vast availability of big data and the incredible power of artificial intelligence (AI). These technological advancements have provided us with unprecedented opportunities to explore unconventional data sources and apply new methods of analysis, expanding our understanding of epidemiological research

However, transitioning from traditional to novel methodologies presents challenges that can lead to a lack of accuracy in health objectives and impede innovation. This gap in understanding the importance of digital epidemiology among healthcare professionals and related disciplines limits progress and innovation in the field of public health.

In response to this challenge, the first Digital Epidemiology Conference, organized by the laboratory of RETINES under the network of University Cote d'Azur, is being convened in the South of France, Nice Cote d'Azur. Its objective is to bring together experts from diverse backgrounds to examine into the latest advancements and confront the limitations of digital epidemiology. By providing new perspectives and solutions, together the conference & masterclass aim to improve decision-making in public health and pave the way for better healthcare outcomes through data-driven approaches.

A two-day of Seminar and Masterclass

The two-day conference and masterclass will explore the advances and challenges of digital epidemiology, with a coverage on four key pillars: disease prevention and prediction emphasizing disease modeling and statistics, disease diagnosis and testing, and disease surveillance, and epidemiology participative. Furthermore, The conference will offer insights into digital epidemiology across different categories such as infectious diseases, chronic and mental health conditions, environmental health issues, and social determinants of health.
