Students assigned to the Library Practice course learn some of the technical aspects of library service, such as organizing books, patron service, and maintaining a secure and functional computer lab. Also, soft workplace skills, such as collaboration and communication with teammates, are emphasized. The outcome of the Library Practice experience is workplace and career readiness through applied technical and interpersonal efficacy.
