I have partnered with Pilot Mountain State Park, the Armfield Civic Center, and the Historic Downtown Business District to set up storywalks on a variety of routes for our community.

I have developed National Poetry Month programs throughout the community, including multiple PoeTrees, sidewalk chalk poems, a poetry contest, and poetry inspired storywalks.

I coordinate outreach at community events, such as Ladies Night Out, the Statewide Star Party, and author visits at local businesses.

I have developed a makerspace in our branch, teaching programs on using the tools. My funding proposal was approved for a $10,000 Bright Ideas Grant from the State Library of NC to expand making programming into other branches in our system.

I coordinated with multiple community organizations the installation of a Little Free Library on our property, dedicated in memory of a local reporter who was a strong supporter of the library as well as many other community causes.

I install poster exhibits in partnership with state and national institutions, as well as exhibits I have curated from our in-house archives. Poster exhibits are accompanied by book displays and interactive activities.

Painted Sidewalk

I facilitate a monthly book club, vetting book selections, obtaining copies through interlibrary loans, and preparing discussion questions.

I have coordinated educational programs for adults with many community partners including the local credit union, hospice, and the master gardeners.

Having completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training, I lead multi-level yoga classes in 6-week sessions several times each year.

I produce the newsletter for our branch which is emailed to our patrons each month.

I manage the Facebook page and YouTube channel for our branch.

I design a variety of printables, including flyers, infographics, and brochures to share with the community.
