Why Diam² Ubi Berisi?

Diam-diam ubi berisi” is part of a Bahasa Malaysia proverb that refers to someone who is quiet by nature, and benefits from one's experience, knowledge and wisdom. Our goal is to showcase unheard experiences and stories of the small but mighty businesses in Malaysia. They are working day-in day-out, humbly contributing to our economy but they are hardly celebrated. We believe that there is much to learn from their entrepreneurship experiences and would like the Malaysian youth to appreciate and reflect on them.

Furthermore, the full phrase is "Diam-diam ubi berisi, diam-diam besi berkarat" shares a deep insight to the full spectrum of how people choose what to do with their quiet time. The second part of the proverb refers to someone who is quiet and wastes time instead. We want to encourage Malaysian youth to express themselves through creative avenues. This project is a platform for them to unleash their talents and amplify their voices.
