Transient current analysis (ATCSA) was applied to determine the rotor condition of different H.V. motors in a petrochemical site in Panama.
The conclusions revealed different rotor failure levels in the different motors:
ATCSA revealed that some rotors had a certain level of failure. This was possible even in presence of some subharmonics in the analyses that were overlapping the fault patterns but that could not affect the diagnosis of the failure (e.g. Motor M6).
