Reflections on Recent Partnership Work
In January 2026, I had the privilege of delivering two sessions to the One City Boards in Bristol, focused on Inclusive Chairing and Leadership.
Bringing together elected members, business co-chairs, and professionals, prioritising themes such as Homes and Communities, Environment and Health and Wellbeing,
The sessions explored how to get the best out of board meetings by unlocking inclusive leadership styles, while valuing and benefiting from the diversity in and outside of the room.
What stood out was the energy, commitment, and depth of expertise present. There is a clear desire and capability to drive real, meaningful change across Bristol’s interconnected city priorities.
Following my work with the Race Equality Strategic Leaders Group in December, it was powerful to see the same proactive, inclusive mindset embedded across the One City Boards and local authority approach.
Inclusive leadership isn’t a theory here... it’s being put into action.
