Fostering Good Relationships

A successful collaboration between DI -Representation and BCohCo – Building Cohesive Communities!

In 2025, BCohCo and DI-Representation partnered with one of the UK's most significant Housing Assoications to successfully pilot a unique community workshop in Lawrence Hill, Bristol. The session was initially designed for up to 15 residents aged 55+, however attendance exceeded expectations, with over 20 residents participating. Engagement remained high throughout, with participants actively sharing their perspectives and lived experiences.

The workshop was bespoke and co-created to ensure it was relevant, accessible, and responsive to the specific needs of the community.

Key focus areas included:

• Challenging negative cultural perceptions

• Exploring language and behaviours within the community

• Addressing subtle and covert micro-behaviours

• Supporting residents to uphold positive behaviours

• Building confidence to appropriately challenge harmful behaviours

This sessions was so well received we are now planning to deliver more across the country and have started to recieve interest from other Housing Associations in order to engage with their residents and communities.
