The best way to honor your graduating senior is with an ad in The Pioneer.
Space is available for purchase in the yearbook for you to wish the graduating senior in your life congratulations as they take this momentous step towards their future. You can purchase your ad at the same time as you purchase your book online, or you can contact Mr. Smith for more information at smitha3@dearbornschools.org.
1/8 page ad - 2 photos - personalized message - $75
1/4 page ad - 4 photos - personalized message - $125
1/2 page ad - 6 photos - personalized message - $200
Full page ad - 10 photos - personalized message - $400
Ads must be purchased before the end of the 1st semester.
Instead of using school ID photos, seniors are allowed to submit portraits taken by outside photographers as their yearbook photo. In order to use a senior portrait, it must be submitted to The Pioneer by December 19th. In order to submit your senior headshot, go to the website for purchasing yearbooks, scroll to the bottom to click on "Visit Yearbook Snap," and enter the access code "pioneers." Emailed portraits will not be accepted.
All senior portraits must meet all of the following criteria:
Portrait should only include the student’s head and shoulders. No hands, props, or hats in the photo.
Portrait must be taken in color. No black & white images.
Photo must be at least 2″ wide and 3″ tall.
Resolution must be at least 300 dpi.
File format must be .tiff, .jpeg, .heic, or .png, file size no larger than 25MB.
Head size (from hairline to bottom of chin): min. 1″, max. 1.5″.
Indoor, neutral, professional background.
Students should be dressed in formal attire (e.g. dress shirts, sweaters, ties, blouses, etc.).
Image must be saved as the student’s name (last name first) and student ID# (example: SmithJohn_20081053.jpeg).
DHS Yearbook staff reserve the right to reject a photo not meeting these specifications.
We strongly recommend providing your photographer with these criteria to ensure that your photo is not rejected.
