Hyaluronic acid (HA) is our skin's natural moisturiser, it binds with water which moisturises the skin and provides tightness. Over time, its natural production decreases and skin loses its elasticity and firmness.
When HA is applied to the skin as a cream or serum, the HA cannot penetrate through all the layers of skin.
For visible skin restoration and volume enhancement HA is injected into different layers of the skin.
Following your consultation and when you are happy to proceed, the treatment session will typically take 30-60 minutes, depending on your treatment plan.
Dermal fillers ~ Belotero is available with an anaesthetic which helps reduce any sensation of pain. Topical anaesthetic cream is often used prior to lip treatments to ensure the procedure is as comfortable as possible. I utilise various other techniques & equipment to ensure you are as comfortable as possible during your treatment.
Anti-ageing treatment ~ I use the INViSIBLE NEEDLE, it is the thinnest hypodermic needle available to date. The benefits of using the Invisi Needle:
Virtually no pain for the patient
less chance of bleeding
less chance of bruising
I believe these benefits make them a worthwhile investment,
Because your comfort, safety & wellbeing is important to me.
There is little downtime following Dermal fillers or Bocouture treatment, however, it is recommended that you should avoid wearing makeup for at least 12 hours after treatment and avoid exposure to heat, UV rays and prolonged exposure to the sun for 2 weeks after treatment.
Avoiding alcohol for 24 hours prior to and following your appointment is advised, this will reduce the risk of bleeding and bruising.
You should avoid strenuous exercise for 24-48 hours following treatment.
All patients will receive aftercare advice specified to them & their treatment following a procedure at DH Medical Aesthetics.
Dermal fillers ~ Yes, the aesthetic results are immediate
Anti-wrinkle treatments ~ Results will gradually develop over 3-14 days. Optimal results can be expected by day 14.
Dermal filler ~ The properties of the dermal fillers I use, allow optimal integration into your tissue. It is not uncommon for the treated area to experience some injection related reactions which may occur and include slight redness, swelling, itching, bruising and tenderness. These symptoms usually improve over 24-48 hours.
Wrinkle-reducing treatments ~ Usually, undesireable effects are observed within the first week after treatment and are temporary in nature. Localised pain, tenderness, itching, swelling and/or bruising can occur in conjunction with injections. Various techniques are used to minimise these risks. Occasionally some people report a mild headache following treatment, this is usually resolved with some over the counter analgaesia.
