A data visualization challenge typically involves presenting participants with a dataset and asking them to create compelling visualizations that effectively communicate insights from the data. These challenges are popular in data science, analytics, and visualization communities and serve several purposes,Problem-Solving Skills,Creativity,Communication,Technical Skills,Learning the Challenges may vary in scope and complexity, ranging from simple exploratory analysis tasks to more advanced storytelling or interactive visualization projects. They are often conducted as competitions, with participants judged on the quality, creativity, and effectiveness of their visualizations.
It is a group event ,each group should contain maximum of 3 members.
Data sets are provided at the time of competition.
Team should come up with own laptop.
Presentation time should not exceed more than 7 mins.
Top three teams are provided with merit certificate and remaining all participants are provided with participation certificate as token of encouragement.
Submissions will be evaluated on the ability to convey information in a meaningful and aesthetically appealing way. When developing a submission, participants should consider the following:
Are the data accurate and from a reliable source?
What is the message or main point of the visualization?
Is the visualization clear to a non-specialist?
Is this a novel way of displaying the data at hand?
Does the visualization use space and scolor in an effective way?
If the submission is interactive, is it intuitive?
