디지털패션디자인 (DFAD) 연구실은 2022년 연세대학교 통합디자인학과의 패션디자인 전공 연구실로서, 첨단 디지털 기술의 발전과 함께 지능화하는 패션 산업의 다양한 밸류 체인 안에서의 동적으로 변화하는 환경과 디자인 실무 활동의 변화를 탐색하여 창의적, 미래적, 통합적인 패션디자인 교육과 실무 방법론을 연구하여, 이를 토대로 지속가능한 패션디자인의 교육과 산업의 새로운 방향성과 역할 모색을 목표로 합니다. . 또한, 디지털 기술 기반 창의적 패션디자인/패션콘텐츠 개발 및 디자인 협업 연구를 통해 디지털 기술과 함께 확장하는 패션 산업에 지속가능한 디자인 도구로서 디지털 기술이 나아가야 할 방향성과 가능성을 탐구합니다.
주요 연구 분야로, 미래 패션디자인의 발전을 위한 첨단 디지털 기술 (2D/3D CAD, AR, VR, XR, Generative design, & AI) 기반 패션디자인의 방법론 개발 및 패션콘텐츠 개발 프로세스 연구, 디지털 디자인 인지(cognition)/창의성(creativity), 디지털 디자인 협업 및 디지털 패션의 감성디자인 체계 연구를 진행하고 있습니다.

The Digital Fashion & Design Lab (DFAD) was established in 2022 within the Department of Integrated Design at Yonsei University as the research hub for the Fashion Design program. The lab investigates the rapidly evolving landscape of the fashion industry, shaped by emerging digital technologies and the intelligent transformation of the value chain. Our mission is to develop innovative, future-driven, and integrative methodologies for fashion design education and practice, and to explore new directions and roles for sustainable fashion design within this changing digital ecosystem.
Through creative digital fashion design, digital fashion content development, and collaborative design research, we examine how digital technologies can serve as sustainable design tools as the fashion industry continues to expand into new digital domains.
