Private lessons give the students an opportunity to sit down with a teacher one-on-one to work. Within a full concert band or beginner class, the amount of students can make it difficult for individualized feedback to reach the students. having a student work with a teacher one-on-one will help the student improve based off of their needs and work through their challenges. Instruments are difficult, and take years to learn. having a private teacher smooths the education process.
Private Lesson teachers are not paid a salary like other teachers in a school. Therefore, private lesson teachers charge per lesson with one lesson happening a week. The lessons are 30 minutes mostly class time. Teachers charge $20 per lesson once a week. there is a scholarship program offered to students interested
in taking lessons based on need to allow every student the option to take lessons privately.
