Getting new members can be tricky. However once we have them what are you doing with them? We know we can't mandate volunteer hours but we are always in need of new volunteers. So when we think redevelopment let's think about redeveloping the way we engage new members in our lodges.

Grand lodge has created a survey for new members that they can fill out right on thenight they become an Elk. This document can get you a good chuck of info that you can follow up on.
Start using it if your lodge hasn't already.
Initiation Night Welcome Invite
Write it in your own handwriting and personalize something for your new members with an invite to something more.
Welcome Committee
Ok, now you have new members and you have a survey with their contact info and interests. Time to reach out! Get a group of Elks to take charge of being a welcome committee. Have them reach out via phone or email and invite them to the next meeting or event at the lodge. Be there to welcome them.
