When it comes to personal digital identity privacy is very important. Privacy is defined as a having a right to have your personal things that are kept from interference of other people.
Every person who use social media has a profile which represent your identity. It has internal & external components. In the internal component that is where you put all your personal information when creating a certain social media account, the external component it where you communicate and socialize with others, that's where privacy comes in(Hekman,2004). Privacy is separated into different types. There is spatial, communicational and information privacy. The communicational privacy it protect your chats from being accessed by others then the information privacy is mainly about the protection of personal data. The personal privacy has two elements the first element is about the core right to privacy where others are restricted to access your data. The second privacy element comes when someone has your personal data and tries to use it without your approval ( Lloyd, 2008 ). This type of privacy reports the context which the information belongs to. The personal data also iclude images that are captured to be automatically available to you only.
Protecting your personal data should be your biggest concern because anyone that has access to your personal data he or she can use your data in a incorrect manner.
