Our 2026 Fund-raising Campaign
Love Thy Neighbor
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I want to start by thanking you for your prayers and generous support of Destinations-Bradford. Thanks to
your generosity we were able to help 3,785 people through our various programs and 6,111 who got coffee, food, and various donated items from our lobby. The current population of Bradford is estimated at just over 7,500, with an approximate poverty rate of 24.4% versus a national rate of 10.8%. About 16% or 1,200 people don’t have personal vehicles. Many of the people who visit our facility are on foot. These neighbors face housing issues, Food Insecurity, a lack of hygiene items, unemployment, and some, inadequate clothing and footwear. These neighbors need some love. With your help we can continue to share the Love of Jesus with them in a tangible way. We provide them with food and hygiene items , including tokens and laundry detergent for The Soap Box. We also work with the YWCA to provide temporary emergency housing. Destinations helps people get to out of town medical appointments through our medical gas card program. We work with people to help them get a copy of their birth certificate to help them obtain housing assistance, or as a step in procuring Identification needed to get a job. Destinations also administrates an emergency prescription program sponsored by the Cluster of Churches. We also have on hand household items, bedding, socks, coats, gloves, and hats; depending on the season. Our lobby is a safe place for people to come and decompress and get warm in the winter months. We have coffee, snacks, food items, a microwave, a limited amount of clothing items, literature , and comfortable chairs. Jesus said that we are to, ”Love your neighbor as yourself.” The word for love in the original Greek is agape. Agape isn’t a warm fuzzy feeling, it’s an action word. It essentially means to put the welfare of others first. At Destinations-Bradford We work along side area churches, organizations and agencies to help as many people in need as possible. Our ultimate hope for them is to see as many as possible become self-sufficient. Once again, I would like to thank all of you who have supported us in the past. We can’t do what we do without you! Whether you are a business, an organization, or a member of our community, your are an extremely important part of our team. You make Destinations-Bradford possible. The Community of Bradford is amazing. Time and time again a need arises, and people come forward with whatever they have to offer. If you Google the official slogan of Bradford Pennsylvania, you will find this: “Emerald City: A cool town with warm hearts.” As the old saying goes, “If the shoe fits, wear it.” Bradford truly does. Thanks you for being Bradford. Please continue to support us. By doing so, you are being the very hands and feet of Jesus, sharing His love with your community. You can give online by scanning the QR code or using the button on our Giving page on this . You can also send a check in the enclosed envelope to: Destinations-Bradford , 1 Main St. Bradford PA 16701. Or, stop in in person, meet us, and see what we do. If you can’t do any of these things, Please pray for us.
Thank You in advance,
Mark Lonzi Executive Director
