9.1: Ethical Issues

• To avoid privacy issues such as listening to phone calls, intercepting pager data:

  • Development of algorithms which cannot be misused or decoded

  • Encryption

• To avoid commercial users unethically decoding using SDR:

  • Limit to only military and emergency service use

9.2: Product Liability

• Provide anti-static mats with SDR kits

• Only for military or emergency use

• Must sign Terms and Services agreement before use

• Have liability warnings on product

9.3: Social Impact

• NI accepts product returns for disposal/recycling purposes

I was able to run and install everything on pi.
