Thank to all of our FIG participants for sharing their learning with us!
Facilitator: Prof. Liese Hoffmire
This multidisciplinary FIG created ready-to-use career-focused assignment templates that faculty can easily import into their own Canvas courses and use with students. The screenshot shows the home page of the Canvas course with assignments that can be imported.
Access to these templates will be made available (soon!) through our Mesa Teaching Tree & the Canvas Commons.
Facilitator: Prof. Anar Brahmbhatt
This FIG focused specifically on revising their content facilitation in their BIOL 210A course. The slides that they've created for their asynchronous group share out are embedded here.
Facilitator: Prof. Katherine Belden-Hillery
This FIG of Math faculty redesigned several of their assessments to align with the principles of Universal Design for Learning while creating rich opportunities for students to demonstrate their learning without being proctored. Here's a glimpse into their collaborative redesign efforts this semester:
Facilitator: Prof. Kim Lacher
This FIG highlights the access that asynchronous online learning provides for our students. These multi-discipline FIG members gathered data to myth-bust and created course redesign templates available in the MOST Toolkit. Below you'll find the slides that they've created as their asynchronous share out.
Facilitator: Prof. Tasha Frankie
This FIG created a collection of Canvas pages that spotlight computer scientists who look more like our students, including intersectionality of identities. While their redesign is in Canvas pages, you can get a glimpse of their work in the screenshots provided in the GoogleDoc below.
